PurPest kick-off meeting

On the 12^th and 13^th of January 2023, a meeting was held at Kringler Gjestegård, Åsveien 775, Maura, Norway, to launch the EU-funded project “PurPest – Plant pest prevention through technology-guided monitoring and site-specific control”, with 43 members from 10 countries present.

The EU project officer, Antonio Pérez-Rendón, joined the meeting remotely. During the two-day event, partners discussed the different work packages, deadlines, the use of a platform for data sharing and networking with other projects.

The stay also included a visit to the plant import/control station at Blomsterringen. The project coordinator, Andrea Ficke, from the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO), closed the meeting by blowing out the candle.
