SenseApest is a 4-year Horizon Europe project funded under the call HORIZON-CL6-2024-FARM2FORK-02 that started in September 2025. The main objective of senseApest is to use volatile organic compound (VOC) signatures released by pests or attacked plants to quickly and non-invasively identify the presence of pests. To this end, a portable detection unit (PDU) will be developed and ultimately used at EU borders during plant import controls. The consortium comprises 11 partners, 9 academics partners and 2 industrial partners. The project is coordinated by CNRS.
