PurPest at European Researchers' Night 2025

On September 26^th, INIAV presented the PurPest project at the European Researchers’ Night, a Europe-wide celebration of science and its impact on everyday life. The event brought together researchers, families, schools, and science enthusiasts to explore innovations in science, sustainability, and technology.

At the PurPest stand, visitors of all ages engaged in hands-on, interactive demonstrations. Children explored microscopes and took part in fun educational activities, learning why preventing the spread of harmful plant pests is so important. Adults discovered the project's scientific approaches, real-world applications, and how PurPest is driving sustainable pest management solutions for agriculture.

The event also highlighted the collaboration between PurPest and FORSAID, a partnership aimed at advancing sustainable agroforestry through innovative technologies. Together, the projects focus on eco-friendly strategies for plant pest and pathogen management, contributing to higher standards in pest control while protecting the environment.
