The Julius Kühn Institute (JKI) in Dossenheim, Germany, hosted the workshop on volatile collection with the Fragrance Collection Device, manufactured by Flusys.

Ted Turlings gave an oral presentation on “Herbivore-induced plant volatiles and how they can be exploited for crop protection?” for the Scientific Days (JS2023), held at Sorbonne University, in Paris, France (9-10 February 2023).

Internship at the INIAV laboratories within the PurPest activities

Tomás Cavaco, who has a degree in Agronomy from the University of Lisbon, carried out a training program in the Nematology lab of INIAV, dealing with wood samples infected by the pinewood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus. Tomás was also involved in several stages of the PurPest project and acquired skills in chemical analysis.

On the 12th and 13th of January 2023, a meeting was held at Kringler Gjestegård, Åsveien 775, Maura, Norway, to launch the EU-funded project “PurPest – Plant pest prevention through technology-guided monitoring and site-specific control”, with 43 members from 10 countries present.
