PurPest at the Oeiras Valley Science Festival 2025

From May 21^st to 25^th, PurPest was advertised at the Oeiras Valley Science Festival by members of INIAV. This vibrant event brought together researchers, families, schools, and science enthusiasts to explore innovations in science, sustainability, and technology.

At the PurPest stand, visitors of all ages engaged with hands-on demonstrations. Children enjoyed using microscopes and participating in fun educational activities, learning about the importance of preventing the spread of harmful plant pests, while adults had the opportunity to learn more about the project's scientific approaches and real-world applications. The PurPest video about the pinewood nematode was continuously showcased throughout the festival.
